Sigh, Sunday afternoon

Okay, it's just freaking hot here. The problem with that is it leave me with no desire to do anything. As usual, that's not an option when you have the Energizer Bunny, aka TBG as a mate.

It's now about 2:30 and we have: had breakfast, went to the farmer's market, went to the store, visiting Jim, found the best route to Pixie Woods (ahead of the wine tasting we are attending there on Friday), had lunch, made soup, fed cats, let cats out and in and out and in, figured out how to become an editor on Wikipedia and gotten caught up with my mail box here... oh, and paid bills, along with finishing my book on Fiji. I wonder what I should do the rest of the day...

We had a lovely party last night. There was about a dozen and we laughed, drank and ate hardily! There were many stories about Rod and I know he was there with us in spirit. I was pleased with the way the creamed spinach came out (and the fact that it was all eaten) and people really seemed to love the chicken (it had a ginger soy rub and then a bourbon glaze sauce that jkkitty sent us last year. There was nothing left over. :D Always a good sign.

Our visit with Jim was not a happy one. Well, it was because we were bursting to tell him how much we loved his show. However, he was one a rampage because Dennis claimed co-directorship of the show when all he did was become, in effect, the stage manager. He made sure they followed the direction that Jim has already created. He did not create any of his own direction. He could have claimed assistant, but not co. Then an article came out today that made it sounds like Dennis is the next messiah and he is responsible for our current success. It's just the opposite. He has fought us tooth and nail against this. he's tried to force us to do shows unsuitable for our area, he's tried to redirect money away from the budget to feed his own pet projects, in short, it's all we can do to keep our doors open. I am not looking forward to going into work on Monday. It's going to be ugly...

Instead of thinking about that, let's think about kitties instead.
