Feliz Dia de Los Muertos, todo el mundo

We had one of the busiest Halloween nights on record and I think a lot of it have to do with having more kids in the complex and also have lights out front. What struck me was how many adults were trick or treating. Most were with their kids, but they were wearing costumes and holding out treat bags. Rock on, I say. Best of all, there was no damage this year - no eggs thrown, no smashed pumpkins, no tagging, nothing. It's usually a little quieter when Halloween is during the week, though. Weekends tend to encourage bad behavior.

This morning I swapped over the calendar and realized that I'd done a terrible thing. The Boy and his SO are coming home for Thanksgiving on the 26th. We also have tickets to see Mamma Mia that day, so all is right in my world... except that's the day that Howl's Moving Castle. I've been waiting all year to see it in the theatre. thankfully, we do have another option, but it will be with subtitles. Oh well, them's the breaks and it's a small issue compared to what some of my other friends are going through.

So I forgot to mention this yesterday, but it seemed the time for it. I lost my work keys at home. This is weird because I am a bear to always put them in the same place, a small basket with my car keys and wallet. I looked everywhere for them, even asking TBG if he'd seen them. In short, I turned the place upside down. Yeah, nothing... Then I looked in the basket again and guess what was there - in plain sight. Explain that one to me...
