We spent yesterday doing the usual chores after a foggy, but yummy breakfast out on by the deep water channel. After coming home, we found a message inviting us out to a Guy Fawkes celebration. I was sort of hoping for a quiet evening at home, as we'd been out late the night before (Irene's birthday celebration at Fe-Nix), but what the heck. We accepted and agreed to bring dessert.
Next we got all the Halloween stuff boxed up and took it back to the shed. On the way home, we stopped and got a couple more boxes of Duraflame logs and some apples.
At that point, I decided it was nap time and took a lovely nap, while TBG talked to Cousin Michael. We are going to spend some time at his B&B next October. He has a lovely B&B (Hale Ohia) on the big Island of Hawaii. We are taking Jeff there for a visit. I think he's going to love it.
Got up and made some chicken carbonara for lunch and then watched a little TV. I was just getting onto the computer and our pet sitter called asking if she could drop by some treats. The cats really love her freshly made dog treats (the blueberry ones more than the pumpkin). She visited for about an hour and then we messed around doing stuff in the garden and around the house.
After showers, we ended up crashing on the bed and reading until it was time to head over to Jeff's for dinner (barbecued, slightly burned, chicken, three kinds of salads and I made baked apples) and then we set off sparklers and talked about London (Jeff asked if we were interesting in going back and we both said yes).
Got home and crashed.
Now, it's Sunday, the clocks are set back, it's gray for foggy out and I'm trying to get geared up to go to the farmer's market and make bread.
