This morning, my eyes zing open at 3:30 and the minute the cats hear this, they are on the bed demanding food. So, I get up and feed them, then start on the usual morning treadmill of tasks.
Everything is fine until TBG heads to work. I decided to catch a bit more sleep. Almost nodding off, there is suddenly a huge cat fight between Titan and Jenny. I broke it up and carried Jenny back to the bed, but on the way, I cracked my little toe on the bureau. So much for sleeping. So I got up to take a shower and whang the crap out of my elbow. Oh, happiness.
I needed to gas up the car this morning as we were down to 1/8 of a tank. Stopped over at work and discovered, true to form, that Sceona had come in and left a mess of bills to be mailed on my desk. Assuming I don't come in, all the bills will then automatically be mailed a week late (and most of them were already late). I processed them and put them in the mail, happy that at least on Monday, this would be done.
It was pouring as I headed to the nearest mail box and I decided rather than driving across town in the rain, I'd go to the Union 76 just down the street. Until I discovered that they were charge $.60 more a gallon than Safeway. Sighing, I drove across town, only to discover that the gas station was taped off and being filled - come back in an hour. Not likely. I ended up at an Exxon station filling up in the pouring rain (but at least only a few cents more than Safeway.
So home I go and I'm looking forward to a nice breakfast, a burrito, I think. That made, I sat down and flipped the plate - eggs and cheese everywhere. So I have to get the vacuum out to clean it up. Thankfully, I was able to save most of it as we had no more eggs. Yummy egg, cheese and cat fur - mmm!
Titan was pawing at the door, so I tossed him out and cleaned everything up... but come on, Friday. It's not even 8:30 yet. Cut me a little slack.
