Thank the stars it's Thursday

This has been a lo-o-ong week, mostly because I've been making phone calls all week. We have added a fundraising next month and the AD decided we needed to call all our ticket holders and invite them personally to the show. That's only 2600 calls and guess whose lap it fell into. The Box Office manager has made some calls, but she hasn't even made it through a page in three days - she keeps finding other things to do.

The sad part is that there is a strong indication that this is going to be an ongoing trend of calling our patrons to 'strongly encourage' them to be more of a presence at the theatre. It seems rather hardnosed to me.

I'm seriously starting to wonder whether or not it's time to look for something else. My job satisfaction is down to zero, they've pretty much taken every responsible job function I've had away and given it to our MIA business manager. She's been here a total of three hours this week, but apparently that's all she needs. Which is why AT&T was threatening to turn off our phone and internet and another company was about to take us to collections for non-payment. No one cares and I'm tired of fighting. It seems easier to just find something somewhere else. Of course, I'm not going to do anything until after our vacation in May. We will see what happens.

We are very gray and heavy rain is due around noon. All our rivers are very high and everyone is getting nervous as there's just no more room at the inn for anymore rain. it's been weird, though, as the humidity is very high and it's been warm, low 60's, even at night. But remember, there is no global warming... :P
