First the good news. Yay, we got the taxes filed and we are getting a refund. That's always good news to me. It's the only time in the year when I have a little extra money in my checking account. It seems like we are filing late, but actually it is the soonest we have ever filed. Have to give Turbo Tax credit - it made things as easy as it could be this year.
Talked with Araceli about me possibly leaving and she begged me not to. Finally someone who wants me to stay. She feels that Dennis is not long for the theatre and I agree. All he wants to do is build a mega-theater with two or three venues. We just want to keep the doors open. We have never had grandiose dreams of being a huge theatre presence. Instead we just want to present good theatre at a reasonable price. We will see what happens. She also seems to think that Sceona is looking to leave, too. Here's hoping that there's a good resolve one way or the other.
We have started letting the kittens out under supervision. To me, that means you watch them and make sure that no harm comes to them. Apparently, according to TBG, it means open the door and go work on the computer. The long and short of it was that Patachou got into a fight with Meanie cat. He had treed Patachou earlier and I ran Meanie off and brought Patachou in. Well, TBG let him back out and right into Meanie.
Patachou was all mucky and full of stuff, bits of sticks, leaves, etc. He was growling and snarling at everyone, including us. We put him in the bedroom with some food and let him settle down. By that night, he was doing okay and after being quiet yesterday, he is back to his old self.
In the meantime, TBG and I had a discussion about what it means to be 'supervised' and have come to an agreement. Sigh... he just doesn't understand that Meanie is a force to be reckoned with. I've tried trapping him, but he's too clever for that. I caught Little Black once and Grey twice before giving up and returning the trap. Sigh... I have never wished a cat ill will, but I will make an exception for him. I just wish he'd leave.
Okay, that's it from this end, some good, some not so great, but life in general is a bit of the all right. Oh, and it's raining out...
