And so we have Thursday afternoon

I have just under two hours left to my work day. Neither the AD or the BM have been in, nor do I expected to see either of them. Just because we have a show starting tonight, why would they be here? I'm so tired of MIA management. Neither Araceli or myself have any authority for the company and yet we are the only ones here. Sigh...

Today has not been the most stellar of days, although it started out well. I slept well and felt good. Maybe there is something in that turmeric, after all. The bad started when a note on our door announced our lease was up at the end of the month and we needed to come to the office to deal with things. The tone was chastising - how dare we ignore their previous notice? We wouldn't have if we'd gotten it.

I stopped at the store because they have an ATM inside the store. Even though it was past seven, they hadn't opened the doors by it, so I had to walk all the way around and then all the way back to the machine. Surprise! It isn't working. So, I went back to the car and proceeded over the McDonald's. One morning a week, I treat myself to an Egg McMuffin. This morning the line to the drive through was insane, so I went inside. The service was even slower in there, but I got my food and left and nearly backed into someone in the parking lot. And there was no one in the drive through.

I got to work and found some paperwork in my in box with instructions to fill it out. It's for a business license. We have a business license. I don't know what this is for, but then we had someone come by to pick up a grant packet which Dennis was supposed to have filled out. They look at us like we are morons when we don't know what they are talking about.

Went to the rental office and gasped when I saw what they were raising our rent to. I managed to talk the manager down, but TBG wasn't happy. He doesn't mean to, but I always end up feeling like it's my fault that I'm cost him so much money. It's the way he usually handles this. To move would be even more expensive and we'd probably have to get rid of the cats (like that is going to happen). I wouldn't mind downsizing into a smaller place, but that's not even something to discuss right now. it was not a good phone call.

Then Shannon, the pet sitter/house sitter stopped by. She has been taking care of Barb's place while she's in Venice. Last night she called me and asked if she could talk to TBG because Barb's computer was talking to her. I didn't know what she was talking about but as soon as TBG got out of the shower, I gave him the message. he calls and she's on line with 'customer support' from those nice men who call and say they are with Micro soft. Yeah, she got scammed and TBG doesn't know how much damage they have done yet. He had to send Barb a text message telling her to alert her banks. Barb called him and I'm sure she's been a nervous wreck because she doesn't know how much of her information has been compromised. TBG is going over tonight so see what's going on. He's not happy.

Gee, maybe it is good that there's still two hours left between me and home. I have a feeling it's not going to be a good evening.
