My default

My weekend, such as it is

Right now I'm sitting here waiting for The Boy to arrive. He's due at 12:30. The table is set, salad is made, the manicotti is in the oven, so we are pretty much set. He's due at the theatre at two to see James and the Giant Peach and then he will spend the night at the director's house (also a James, but without a peach, but a peach nonetheless). The boy wants to get together with him to discuss their upcoming, Sister Act (yes, just like the movie).

Tonight we have a birthday party for Jeffery and Al, born several years and a day apart. Their gifts, as well as the hostess's gift, is ready to go. I feel like I'm on top of things, but that can be misleading.

On Thursday afternoon, I came down with yet another UTI/bladder infections, this one is a doozy, according to my GP. He gave me meds, a written prescription so I can fill it just before vacation (just to be safe) and a reference to a urologist. Hopefully she can figure out what's going on. That's sort of colored my whole weekend, though it didn't slow it down much.

Friday night we went with Jeffery to The Outback, his first time ever, and he really enjoyed himself. The food was the best it's been in a long time and the place seemed to be doing okay. It's been pretty quiet the last few times we were there, but it was during the week. I didn't mention to Jeffrey that I wasn't feeling well - not what he wants to hear this close to the trip and certainly not this (Sarah's issues first presented as a reoccurring bladder infection, however it was just the tip of the iceberg for her). I didn't want to give him any cause for worry. It started to rain just as we were driving home that night.

Saturday, lovely, lovely Saturday. It never stopped raining until this morning. We got nearly an inch of rain and that's huge for us. Everything is so green and happy right now. I took a chance and snapped some photos of my various flowers in bloom just in case the rain made them drop pedals.

And The Boy is here, so I have to go. I'll post the photos later. Ciao, bella!
