A quick update

I'm not going to be around much today, so it seemed to be a good time to drop in and wish everyone a good weekend.

We have a show in Livermore (about an hour away) tonight. Hopefully the venue will be as good as the one in San Jose. Sadly we are only about half sold, sigh... we will be in the house tonight at least to watch the show. It would have been nice to have flipped our weather. Yesterday, it was sunny (74) with a brisk wind, just the sort of weather you want for a load in/out. Today is mid 80's with no wind. It's going to be a hot and sticky evening. At least we can wear shorts to do the load in and then change before the show.

Last night we saw Disney's Newsies and I have to admit being totally underwhelmed by the book. Yes, it was based on real events, but just because something really happened, it doesn't mean it makes a good musical. The songs all sounded the same after about forty minutes. The dancing was okay, but nothing like what I was led to believe it would be. The sound was horrible and everyone I spoke with at Intermission agreed that the mixing was very bad. It was loud but garbled so that you couldn't understand anything. Thank the stars for open captioning. The set, well, the set was kick ass. The show has a lot of theatricality, but little theatre. It mostly rides on the shoulders of its set.

We met Rachel, one of our Waterloo singers, and she was heading home at Intermission to get some sleep. I sort of wish we had as well. We got home about eleven, thankfully an hour earlier than I predicted, and as we were coming in, across the garden strolled two very fat raccoons. I have a feeling we aren't just feeing cats and skunks these days. :P

Take care, my friends, and have a fabulous Saturday. With any luck, I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow!

just wondering

When you have banking to do, do you use a teller or an ATM?

When you go to the store and they are handing out free sample, do you always accept or does it depend upon the sample?

When you park, do you park as close as you can or use it as an excuse to get a bit of exercise in?
