The Friday Five

1. How many pets have you had at one time?
2. What is the strangest pet you have ever had?
3. What is the coolest trick you have ever taught a pet?
4. Real animals: What animal have you always wanted as a pet?
5. Imaginary animals: Describe the ideal pet, an animal that doesn't really exist.

1. Right now we have three inside cats and five outside cats - I think that's a record, even for me.

2. A tame chipmunk named, appropriately enough, Chip.

3. Nothing. I've always had cats and they pretty do what they want when they want.

4. A Bengal cat, but we don't have the room.

5. I'm coming up empty on this. For me, the ideal pet IS a cat. Yeah, given my wild imagination, you'd think I could do better than that...

Good news

I had just gotten home last night, when out of the bushes popped Little Mommy. She was thin as a rake and ate down two cans of cat food without taking a breath. Then she stayed around for some cuddling and petting before she was off again. I hope her babies are okay. At least she seemed in good health. Sadly, there's still no sign of Illya. I'm hoping his owners found him and he's back home safe and sound.

After a couple very warm days, we are cooling off a bit for the weekend. It will be the perfect weather to get the garden in shape and because all of our friends are out of town doing this or that, it will be the perfect time for us to work on it. Here's wondering if we will do anything about it. TBG has become very fond of hydrangea for some reason and wants to put in a mess of them instead of annuals. That works for me. Now it's just buying them.

I'm very nearly done with the applique work on my latest quilting project and will try to remember to take a photo of it before I start the actual quilting. It's been a very different sort of applique, but I've been enjoying it.

We just passed the one-year mark for the next cruise, so that made me do a little dance. We will be taking the Pacific Princess through the Panama Canal going from Los Angeles to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. It's our hope that our GD and her parents will be able to join us in Ft. Lauderdale for a couple of days after the cruise. That remains to be seen. Now to start building up the vacation fund again.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Do you have any special plans?
