I'm feeling like a heel

I forgot the anniversary/birthday of a good friend of mine. Someone who has seen me through good times and bad. Inspired me, comforted me and most important, never abandoned me. And I forgot... sigh...

So, Happy Belated Birthday, Man from UNCLE!

It's safe to say, I wouldn't be here without you! :D

The Friday Five for September 23, 2016

Today's five questions are brought to us by livejournal user amguynes, the letter F, and the number 5.

1. Your favorite book?
2. Your favorite movie?
3. Your least favorite adaptation of a book to a movie?
4. Your least favorite adaptation ever of anything to a movie?
5. Your first ever novel/comic book/movie character crush?

1. Hmm, a toughie. Either Jane Eyre or We Have Always Lived in the Castle.

2. Oh, golly, My Neighbor Totoro, closely followed by Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.

3. Any of the adaptations of The Haunting of Hill House. They just don't freaking get it.

4. I'm not sure what this question means. Possibly a real life event made to movie? Not sure. Just about any D C comic book adaptation.

5. Spock, Spock, Spock! That was easy

Friday thoughts

After a lovely cool day yesterday, we started warming back up. We will be up to 85 today and then an ten degrees tomorrow, topping out at 99 by Monday. Happy Fall. Sigh. I am so ready for some nice cool days, even if it does mean a more crowded bed at night.

The boy is coming home this weekend and he's bringing his SO to meet us. I am so excited to meet the man who finally captured The Boy's heart. He's Australian, so talking to him will be fun - yeah, I'm a pushover for an accent. He's a physical therapist and has always wanted to live in California. I can't believe all the changes The boy has experienced this past year. He's moved back from New York, gotten a fabulous job that he loves, a new house and his first car. he's the happiest and most relaxed that I've ever seen him and I wanted to last forever. I suppose that's all a mum really wants, for her kid to be happy and healthy.

The show is going like gang busters. We sold out last night and Sunday, there were only seven left for tonight and thirteen for tomorrow night. I think we are going for a sold out weekend! *Yay* It was a fabulous start to the season and we have seen our season ticket sales go through the roof. It's very exciting as I know it will be the same for Mary Poppins. Even with adding two additional shows, I fully anticipate going into that run sold out of most performances. Happy sigh.

Here's wishing everyone a good weekend ahead. I hope that Life and the Fates treat you well!
