My default

Mid week - finally

A man walks into a bar and is carrying his pet salamander with him. He sits down and the bartender can't help but noticing them. "So, tell me, buddy, what's his name?" "Tiny," the man replies, carefully stroking Tiny's head. "Why do you call him Tiny?" The bartender asks. "Oh," the man answers. "Because he's my newt."

Yeah, I know, it's why I didn't get a pony for Christmas...

The week is going well enough. I came back to a ton of donation letters. When all was said and done, we'd gotten just short of $27,000 in donations for the two weeks I was gone. Not bad at all. We are flush with money at the moment and I am going to petition to have my Fundraiser program updated. It's starting to become difficult and keep taking hits. Yesterday, Araceli was complaining that we had no money. I don't think that's really the case.

This morning I am putting my big girl panty's on and paying a visit to my PA for my yearly check up. It's not that I mind, but the waiting that's annoying. Still, I've got the first appointment of the day, so that shouldn't be too bad. I'm going to just head over from home (it's about 15 minutes up the road) and make up the time along the way. After that, I'll make the appointment for the blood work, hopefully this Friday and get that out of the way, too.

It's been very foggy here and very cold (for us). Yesterday we got up to 42, which is more of a low than a high. This is coming off a three-week above average streak for us, so we shouldn't complain, but that isn't stopping me because of the outside cats (I worry). At least tomorrow rain is coming and then on and off for the next ten days. That will keep the fog at bay for a bit longer.

The rest of the week is quiet and we have a (so-far) a quiet weekend ahead. Like that's going to last...

I hope everyone is plugging along and that the week has been both kind and patient with you.
