Pals for life

Already Wednesday

Can't believe how this week has flown. I supposed it is because I've had stuff to do. Found a couple of projects and scrounge another, so the days are full. Busy is so much better than not.

We received our state tax refund and that went into the vacation fund. Spoke with Mike last night and he was still all systems go with the cruise, so that made me happy. He's taking the same attitude we are. It's still 12 weeks away and a lot can happen in that time. We will play it by ear.

Some idiot couple is suing Princess (rather Carnival) for a million dollars. They are saying that the cruiseline didn't do enough to keep the safe, even though they didn't contract the disease, the threat and worry made them unease. Really? Did someone hold a gun to their heads? Princess is allowing people to cancel, even without insurance, at this point for a full refund. Seems to me someone is trying to get rich. There's one in every crowd.

Weather here is gorgeous and while I appreciate it, it's bad news for the rainfall. We have gotten just six inches of rain since July and the bulk of our rain season is behind us. I foresee summer water restrictions yet again.

So far, so good. I hope everyone is having a reasonable week and is looking forward to the weekend to come. Tally ho! Tra la, tra la, Trelaine...

So, I belong to a site called Cruise Critics

There you can talk about *you guessed it* cruising.

This was posted this morning from the Pacific Princess (our favorite ship and the one we will be on in June)by hpeabody:

The good news is … we are a very SAFE SHIP and probably better off here than any other place. We are being very well taken care of by staff and crew and my fellow passengers have been pretty amazing. It is difficult for all of us being in this very unusual predicament.

We continue to be very well taken care of. Spirits tend to remain pretty good on board. Passengers are enjoying the pool and the planned activities and getting to know each other. We have aptly named our scavenger hunt group Lost at Sea. We just hope we will be welcome back in the US when we arrive at Fort Lauderdale/Port Everglades at the end of April without any issues or quarantine.

Just wondering

What are gas prices like in your neck of the woods?

Here we have a saying that you can tell it's Spring when you can step on three dandelion blossoms at a time. How do you tell it's Spring there?

Do you have a favorite color crayon, either now or as a kid?
