Some meme fun...

evil_little_dog was talking about this fun meme and I had to give it a go:

Name your favorite movie; keep one actor, replace the others with Muppets.

So, 1999 The Mummy - Kermit Rich O'Connell, Piggie as Evelyn (Evie), Fozie would be her brother Jonathan and the Swedish Chef as Imhotep

I'm dying now at the thought...

What about you?

The six word challenge.

Six words – what can you make of them? You have up to 100 words and a week to figure that out. It can take the shape of a poem, prose, a drabble or even just a sentence - anything you want. Be silly, creative, but most importantly, have some fun! On Friday, we can post the results and see how we all did!

The words:

flowers and butterflies

Yesterday marked some firsts in a long time for us.

We had dinner at Jeff’s – at the table, all four of us, just like we used to before everything went so crazy. It was lovely (and warmer) than dining outside. Jeff grilled vegetables and steaks, we brought over a shrimp and spinach salad, and Barb did dessert. She’s on a modified Keto diet because of super high blood pressure (despite medication). We will see how it goes. But we are all being very supportive. We are having her to dinner on Wednesday and doing spaghetti (squash) and meatballs. I’ve been checking out some Keto apps and found a couple that look very yummy indeed.

After three weeks of gorgeous above-average temperatures, yesterday, it was actually quite cool (for us). This coming week is traditionally Spring Break and it’s below average every day and even a whisper or two of a few drops of rain. They surprised Mother Nature by have Spring Break last week. It was 87 here on Wednesday. The kids were delighted.

We talked with our pet sitter and got the next two years lined up for vacations and whatnot (you have to get on her calendar early. She was a little worried because she’d raised her rates, but it’s still worth it. We hadn’t talked since around Christmas, so it was nice to catch up with her. She’s all vaccinated, so she is ready and able to jump right back in. It’s nice to be able to think about such things again.

I am holding my breath to see if the gardeners return today to rip out the rest of our plants. We spent most of Saturday cleaning up and reporting stuff. So far, everything seems to be doing okay and the cats were delighted to have some plants back on the back porch (they love to hide behind them and watch). Another small step towards getting back to normal or whatever passes for it these days

I hope you all had a lovely weekend filled with food and laughter. Onward ho!
