I woke up all headachy and just feeling my age. It didn't help to have four cats that seems to be take up some prime real estate on the bed. And one of them had a bit of an issue with a box last night. Nothing says good morning quite like a thin layer of kitty litter everywhere.
Everything was just a bit off kilter. I kept spilling things, tripping over cats, and even poured juice into my coffee.
Headed to work and discovered the alarm was going off in the theatre. So, armed with nothing more than nerve, I went into the back. All the stage work lights and house lights were on, but there was no one there. I shut off the lights and reset the alarm - only to have it go off again a few minutes later. Plus there was a call from ADT on my office phone. I called them and discovered that there was a series of alarms last night. Put in a service call and will probably get reprimanded for not getting the okay for it prior. Still, we need our alarm to be working, especially now.
The programs and inserts were delivered, but they used some weird smelling stuff and the office stinks. I spent all day yesterday cleaning up the office and putting away boxes of paperwork and general stuff. Now the office is full of boxes again...
People were supposed to come in and sign letters last night - looks like two people showed up... sigh... now I don't know if I'm supposed to fold letters or not because, according to Dennis, they all have to sign them. We wait for that and we will be just in time for the Season of Giving for next year.
Phones are busy, but just with questions and no sales. Araceli is running late. It's grey and cloudy out and I just broke the happy cat I've had for nearly thirty years... can I go home now?
High points: it had rained during the night, so the air smelled wonderful. TBG said the last dress went well and there was a mailbox for Sophie.
