Yesterday was a good day for us. We drove up to Sacramento at about nine and went to Frye’s. TBG got what he wanted and then we headed over to IKEA and practically had the store to ourselves – it was such bliss. I found the one thing I really wanted – a stuff figure about two feet and mostly hat. I don’t know what it was about it, but I fell in love with him when someone else posted a photo. There were only two left, so I was thrilled to be in time. Also bought some candles, some candle holders, napkins, light bulbs, etc. and then TBG hit their grocery store. To say our freezer is full would be an understatement. After that we drove around for a bit, looking at trees before meeting up with Ken and Nancy for lunch. Afterwards, they headed for a birthday party and we went over to The Nugget, which is an upscale grocery store. TBG loves to look around there and I needed some milk. $116 later… Yeah, it’s that sort of store.
Got home and TBG napped while I answered posts on LJ and cleaned up some e mails. I put stuff away and tidied up before giving Sparky a call. TBG got up and started dinner, lentil soup, and I helped. We got our Christmas party and guests confirmed. Then I decided to lay out my quilt. That was a fail. That should have been my hint that I wasn’t feeling well. I got majorly frustrated with it and made the mistake of asking Chris what he thought. Then the cats discovered it and ‘helped’ - it was game over at that point.
So, have some shots of trees and cats as opposed to my rambling!
