Beginning October 1, 2020, the federal government will require your driver license or identification (ID) card to be REAL ID compliant if you wish to use it as identification to board a domestic flight or enter military bases and most federal facilities.
For one reason or another, TBG jumped on this and immediately got in line to get his. The hoops that they make you jump through are many. You need to provide your original SS card, something with your physical address and your name on it (this was the hard one for me) and your passport or birth certificate. However, the stickler was you had to retake the written test. Um, the last time I took the written test was 1977... and it took me two goes. I made an appointment and yesterday I gritted my teeth and went for it. I took a mess of practice tests on line and did fine. However, the real test was much harder. I only missed two, and second guess myself both times, grr... But I passed and I'm really up on the laws of the CA road now. Hate my new photo, but what else is new?
We've had a little rain (.19), which was nice, but it's really snowing in the Sierras and that's even better.
Other than that, nothing is going on, either at home or at work. We are getting ready to mail out the season brochure for our next season. Once that hits mailboxes, we will be very busy, but until then... *yawn*
How has your week been?
