We took Titan to the vet this week. He got into a cat fight and ended up getting scratched near his eye. It's fine, but the inner eyelid was inflamed. He's on liquid antibiotics and eye drops, neither of which are winning us a spot in the cat's Good Owner Hall of Fame. Pye got her shots and treated for her acne. She's since forgiven us as she's not on liquid antibiotics. Bête Noir is happy because I cleaned out from under the stove and returned her 42 plastic springs. I combed a cat's worth of hair out of Patachou this morning and Jenny is just being Jenny and supervising everything.
This morning we found out that our friends from Florida will be coming out on August 3rd, not only to join us up at the cabin, but also will be staying long enough to go see Mamma Mia with us. It's playing at Music Circus. How can we refuse?
I emailed a company in Venice that offers a mask making workshop to find out about classes offered while we are there. I've also contact a company that makes gondolas to arrange a tour of their work shop. It's exciting to start making plans. I've also booked a tour of Pompeii, but decided that I wouldn't try to squeeze Herculaneum in, too. There was only forty minutes between tours and both were marked strenuous. My back only plays so nice for so long.
The weather has been serious squirrely here - sunny and warm one minute, cold and raining the next. My sinuses have declared war and I've been fighting a headache nearly all weekend, along with grumpy joints.
Tomorrow starts the sale of the new season and I'm hoping things will be busy. We can only hope. Barb found a sponsor for one of the two remaining shows next year, so she wants to come by and draft a letter up, outlining the benefits of donating. No matter what, tomorrow should be full.
Everyone's asleep now. Perhaps it's time for me to try and cut out some fabric for my next project. Or maybe I'll just watch a movie.
I hope that everyone here has had an okay weekend and will have a good week. At least we're one week closer to Spring.
