Oh, boy...

Wow, how can the weekend be over? The ache in my head must be from that and not my sinuses. Love Spring, the allergies, not as much.

On Saturday, TBG decided to do some work on the watering/drip system and put dribblers (my word, not the official name of them) along the super dry area of the walk. I'd never been able to plant there because there was no water. Now there is and so on Sunday we went to Home Depot and parted with many dollars. I have to admit that the plants look great, even though it was quite the task digging through the hard clay soil. Here's hoping that they can survive. Consider how I am feeling this morning, here's hoping I can. It doesn't take much to leave me stiff and sore.

After some lunch and a short nap, we got up and went to the theatre with our Sacramento friends. The theatre is doing Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cellphone. I wasn't terribly impressed with the first act. It was almost like college theater (and not very good college theatre at that), but the second act totally redeemed the play. It is Theatre of the Absurd and it asked a lot of very good questions. How you, as a cellphone user, want to answer them, if at all, is up to you.

Afterwards, we went to Octavio's for some Mexican food. The place was packed and the food was fabulous. We sent them back on their way and we headed home - it wasn't even six yet! Watched a cooking show on PBS and then hit the hay. Had a good eight hours of sleep and want more... is it Friday yet?

Came home to this:

Titan and Patachou

edited to add: Forgot to mention - made Rum current scones (YUM!) and a mushroom, onion, and tomato frittata for breakfast on Sunday.
