We were doing a recipe of beef with pearl onions. The tamarind paste was part of a marinade. It turned out to be a very tasty dish and I tossed in a handful of pea vines for color and served it with pan fried noodles. It was very tasty.
I also picked up two pounds of strawberries and a small watermelon and made agua fresca this morning (also added some mandarin oranges, basil, and a Meyer lemon. It's very tasty and quite refreshing. We had a big glass of it after coming back from Frye's and IKEA. We stop at Vic's for lunch and our Sacramento friends joined us. Afterwards, we went back to their place to see all the improvements that they have made to their back lawn. Their garden is incredible! I can't even imagine how much work it takes.
There has been time with friends, some great food and plenty of lazy times/naps/cat-towing in between.
Here's hoping that everyone else is have/had a great weekend!
