Happily, we are free of the skunk smell By the time we were ready for bed, there was no trace of the stink. That was a relief. We opened up the house and had a lovely cool breeze blowing through all night. It was almost too cold! That's always a nice feeling in the late spring.
The day turned out okay. Dinner was a success with one of the most tender roasts I’ve ever made. It was fork tender and the sauce reduced down to a lovely gravy. Everything was ready on time and we had a lot of fun watching the movie. Considering how tired I was, it was a miracle that I didn’t sleep through it. The scenery of Venice really was spectacular.
Today, however, has been a sleepy day, not just for us, but seemingly everyone.
I did actually take some photos last night, but haven't downloaded them yet. Yes, it has been that lazy of a day. :P We did get to the Farmer's Market and caught the first wax beans of the season. Then I stopped by Barnes and Noble and picked up some new books and a puzzle. Then it was home for a nap and after that, lunch! Now I'm ready for another nap, but I need to find some wine bags and deliver the wine safe to the theatre. Boy, was it a mess. Guess it's good that I'm going to use it next week at work. And the soup of the week is cold pea soup, which I need to start now so that it will be cold enough in time for dinner.
Hope everyone is have a lazy and content Sunday!
