This morning I started to go to the bank to deposit my checks and couldn't find them. I looked everywhere and even called TBG to see if he'd seen them. He hadn't. I came to work in a right state and he called a bit later to see if I'd had any success. Of course I hadn't and I was mad enough to spit nails, thinking that somehow I'd tossed them out. I went to work and continued to grumble about it.
After I'd had a chance to calm down a bit, I went back home (there are benefits to only living a minute from work) and tore apart the book case where I thought I'd put them. After taking out the first shelf's books and I started on the second and what should I find? Yup, they fallen down behind the books. It was a happy time. I came out to head back to work and up drives TBG. He'd come all the way home so he could look for it. What a guy! He really is my knight in shining armor.
Today has been very busy, which makes me happy, but it's not making our president happy. She wants me to bring paperwork to the hospital where her sister is for her to sign. She was supposed to sign them Sunday, but she didn't want to put down the baby she was holding. She didn't do it yesterday because she was busy. So now, she wants me to drive across town so that she can sign them today. She was not happy when I told her that I was alone in the office and couldn't leave. I suggest that Dennis bring them to her when he got in at 11, but she doesn't want to do that. He's too busy. Maybe she'll be by this afternoon. Seriously? We ask her to sign this paperwork once a year and she's too busy for that? Really? She's off in the summer and has been since the end of May... and she can't even do this for us? I think it maybe time for her to retire from our board.
I hope everyone is having less of a Tuesday than I'm having!
