Last night we went out to get some Mexican food at Octavio's and when we came back, Minnie Moo, as we are now calling her, was asking for attention. It's such a change from last week at this time when we couldn't even approach her. She's really getting big. I'm hoping she'll have her kittens before we leave for the cabin on the 4th, but there's no telling.
The night before, I finally got to make my pork tenderloin in port and Jacques Pepin did not let me down. It was glorious and so simple! What a 180 from the other recipe! We had it with the leftover Tuscan vegetables from Saturday and a Caprice salad. I need to cook more of his recipes.
Our weather is a little obscene and we are not below 98 for a high for the next ten days. Next Saturday, we are supposed to be 114. Yeah, now we are starting to wonder as to whether or not we are going to want to go to the park on Wednesday night(free concert). It will be 98 that day.
Here's wishing everyone the best possible weekend. I won't be around much as Saturday is TBG's anniversary dinner and Sunday is the event at the Haggin Museum. . We are expecting between 150 and 175 guests. TBG and I are servers - say a prayer for my back and feet.
If we don't talk, I'll see you on Monday.
