Yesterday we drove up to Sutter Creek. I couldn't believe how much crap we had to pack into the truck and I'm terrified that if one of us sneezes, we will blow the windows out. We got to the hotel, but our room wasn't ready. They were nice enough to store our ice chest while we went and had some lunch. We ate at Gold Field pizza - it was so good, but more salty than we were used to.
After that, we went back to the hotel and checked in. After a nap and some relaxing, we headed over to Jackson for dinner at (no, not Taste), but Stanely's Steakhouse. Oh, boy, what a great meal! I started with a shrimp cocktail and followed it with beef Wellington. TBG had the chef's preset menu (Pork belly app, herb crusted beef tenderloin and creme brulee for dessert. I splurged and had two glasses of Sobon Zin and some of TBG's wine. I got a little toasty, to be sure.
That's what my head told me this morning. I felt so dehydrated and headachy. Happily, so aspirin and coffee fixed that.
We had breakfast at the Old Well in Dry Town, which was yummy as ever. We got gas and more ice and now it's time for me to say good bye to all of you. I'll be off line now until Thursday. Take care, be good to youselves and know that I'll miss all of you!
