We had a guy come to clean out the gutters at SCT (there are weeds growing in some places) and he was attacked by yellow jackets. We were lucky he didn't go into anaphylactic shock. Today the exterminators will come and deal with them. Luckily there's currently no rain in our forecast.
My back, which was killing me on Sunday, was better, but still a struggle. I decided to come home about five minutes early and just as I walked in, the phone was ringing. It was Jeff. This sent up flags because he knows I'm not usually home then.
I answered and he was laughing and chatty, the same old Jeff. Then he mentioned what a lovely gesture the food was and how much he'd enjoyed it. I asked him if the girls had talked to him and he started laughing and totally blew Dawn's (the SO) reaction off, saying she has trust issues. I apologize to him and he said she was fine. The heat of the moment (boy, have I learned to know react then) and all of that made her 'over-stimulated.' I'd have used another word, but, yeah. All's well and that made me want to crumble with relief.
We made plans to get together for TBG's belated birthday at The Boulevard on the 20th and talked about getting together before that, but we want them to catch their breath first. It was so good to talk to him and then later with Barb. They are so much a part of our lives that it seemed very quiet with them gone.
So, all's well that ends well. *whew*
And the back is nearly back to normal, no one I know passed away yesterday and I'm feeling pretty positive about today. Hopefully Tuesday won't kick me (or you )in the butt.
