In between the shredding, I made bread and lunch. We are going out to see some friends tonight (we haven't seen the Fryes in two years because of one thing or the other), so we are all heading out there. They always serve the wildest things (once we have corned beef enchiladas), but we love them and Mary Anne always makes me laugh so much. It will be fun, but I'm hoping I don't fall asleep in my salad. I'm bringing them a loaf of bread and some wine as a hostess gift..
Yesterday we made lasagna, or rather TBG did and I helped. There were a layer of roasted peppers, a layer of meat (beef and mild Italian sausage), a layer of onion marmalade and lots of cheese. It was pretty awesome. We had spend the morning shopping and visiting a winery (to pick up some donated wine for SCT). It was sure nice last night to be able to just relax and breathe.
As sorry as I am to see the end of this weekend, it was one well spent. I hope it was the same for everyone else.
And just because I haven't posted shots of the guys for a bit...
