Day 12 an underrated film Princess Kaguya
This is not a Miyazaki movie - that is apparent from the first cell. The art is very fluid and alive, the backgrounds fade until you are forced to concentrate upon the characters and the story they tell. It's beautifully narrated by Mary Steenburgen and captivating. You must let go of everything you previously held true for Ghibli and allow it to flow over you. The ending is so beautiful and sad that I always find myself weeping for two very different reasons.
