Need to check in so you don't think I've gone belly up.

As busy as the week was, of course, the weekend is proving to be busier. Yesterday was the usual mad dash to clean the place up before Ken and Nancy arrived. This will also leave in pretty good stead for vacation in two weeks. We also collected the wine from Barb's wine cellar and took it to the theatre for Sunday's wine wall.

I was so beat that not only did I take a nap Friday morning, then I took a three hour one that afternoon and still managed to get a good night's sleep after the show.

We are doing Ripcord. It's about two women living together in a retirement facility. Abby doesn't want a roommate, so she bets if she can make her roommate angry (a perpetual optimist), the roommate will leave. If the roommate scares Abby, then she will get the much coveted bed by the window. The pranks are mean spirited, hurtful and not at all funny. Abby is thoroughly unlikeable and hateful, I'm not really sure what the playwright was trying to say, but I didn't like it. however, the crowd seemed to enjoy it well enough.

Today we started the day by purchasing a flat of catnip... except it was lemon balm, so after lunch we had to return it. Then when at Podesto's, I asked for cash back and didn't get it, something that I didn't realize until I was in another store... so back to Podesto's we went. Thankfully, it was with a cashier who knew us well, so there was no problem. Happily, things settled down after that.

We got home, planted the flat of catnip - we have very happy cats now. Made an Alfredo sauce again, this time with romano cheese - muy bueno - and ravioli. TBG is supposed to be doing stuff, but he's on the bed 'reading' with his eyes closed. I think that sounds like a plan.

Hope the day is trying you all well! What do you have planned?
