Anyhow, we got to the airport in plenty of time, and aside from a walk, there was no hassle at the airport. Is it only me or is your gate always the last one, too?
We had time for breakfast and had a couple of 'scrambles' - a combination of a scarmbled eggs and an omlet. A few potatos, a piece of toast, blissful wonderful coffee for me and a hot chocolate for TBG - all the pawltry sum of $53. I nearly choked... At least it was good.
The plane trip was uneventful and after some of our Europe flights, a five hour one was a walk in the park. They didn't show movies or anything else. "Download the app and watch onyour own device." they said. I was fine with that because i never watch the movies to begin with, but TBG was lost. At least he had his book.
Got to Orlando about ten minutes early and paused long enough to change into shorts and then I got a text from Dennis saying that our uniterupretable power supply was showing an error - HELP! TBG talked him off the ledge and off we went to baggage. No trouble there or getting the vehicle... in the next to the last slot! Sigh...
Got to the Rives with no trouble and walked into pandemonium. They were having windows replaced and the job ran long. It was just finishing up as we got there. We had to park several houses away and *yay* walk.
Wendy had made a Southern Boil (sausage, shrimp, potatoes, corn and onions) and Chris declared it delicious. I couldn't really taste much, but it was just me, so I told her how lovely it was and she gave us the recipe. She is so excited to cook for us.
We called it a night pretty early, but did get to meet Jack, their newest kitty and quite the orange and white charmer (lindahoyland, I'm thinking of you! I will try and get a shot of him.
I will do my best to get to everyone's comments from yesterday, but if I don't, please don't feel slighted as I do love you guys, but, you know, vacation and everything...
