So seriously back from vacation

Let's just say that when I hit retirement, I am NOT going to be missing work at all. Back to the grind and that's exactly what it is - a grind. The phone's not ringing, there was nothing to do but file a half dozen bills and send out about a dozen thank you letters when I got back... Araceli did whine greatly that she was far too busy by herself last week, but that's most to do with some crap from the Dept. of Unemployment. Seems we overpaid by nearly $1,000 last year. Go figure.

Everything is coming together for the Speakeasy. The final poster is ready to go and I have the tickets all set to print. We have a meeting tomorrow and will bring along Dennis and CJ (our bartender). The food is paid for, the ads are set. Now all we have to do is sell 50 tickets and we have until July29th to do it... Fingers crossed.

I think Spring has finally found us. We have moved in the 'mostly' 80's range, but there is a forecast for snow on Sunday up in the mountains. Just what they need - more snow.

My knee seems to steadily improve and I can finally walk and climb without pain. It's still stiff when I get up, but is better after a few steps. Now to start walking more.

The cats had settled down and are starting to let us get out of their sight at home. They are going to be quite spoiled as this past trip is pretty much all the traveling we are doing this year. I'm a little frustrated that TBG is constantly complaining that we have no money, but then renewed our Best of Broadway season in Sacramento. I was not impressed with the season, plus it's being moved to a facility with no real staging (and the shows booked prove that). Plus our rent went up and it was about when we are now paying for tickets. We could have offset that hike by surrendering our tickets, but no... Sigh... it would seem we are only out of money when it comes to doing stuff he doesn't want to do. Go figure.

We have made it to the mid point. It's all downhill to the weekend now. Be brave, my little toasters! We can do this.
