I was going to post about the fact that our business manager is about ready to spontaneously combust between the pressures of her job, getting her folks' 50th wedding anniversary celebration ready to go, trying to figure out the future for her autistic son, and her father's dicey heart.
I was going to post about my busy morning of trying to get dinner ready for tonight (Turkish kabobs), and getting to the bank (here it's a Smart grocery store with a ATM in it) and feeling as if I was on a never-ending treadmill.
Instead, I will say that I am thankful for good brakes, a cautious nature and believing that everyone driving is a complete idiot. Otherwise, I would probably be headed for Emergency now. I came as close to being smushed as I care to be. The driver, an ancient woman, never stopped, never signaled, and never even saw me. Instead, at full speed she pulled in front of me with about two yards to spare. Granted, everything in the backseat ended up in the front seat, the brakes worked and I stopped with about five inches to spare. She never even slowed down... until about 500 feet later when she parked in the middle of the road and walked through traffic to get to a coffee shop. Sigh... I'm all for people holding onto their licenses for as long as they can competently drive, but she needs to not be behind the wheel of a vehicle.
I'm just hoping the rest of Tuesday goes better...
