Just when I get a few bucks ahead, something pops up...

Last week Pyewacket was having some tum issues. She threw up a couple of times and was acting lethargic. I figure it was hair or a bug. By the end of the night, she was eating and keeping it down.
A few days later, I noticed she was acting a bit odd, swallowing a lot, then on Friday, she developed this odd cough/sneeze thing. Sunday night, I noticed some bloody mucus dribbling from her nose. During all this time, she's eating, drinking, using the box (as much as she ever does) and even playing.

I remembered a conversation I'd had with a friend of mine and yesterday I whisked her off to the vet. The diagnosis? Aspiration pneumonia. Irene, who works in a senior health care facility had mentioned this once as a problem they have with older folks. I nailed it. It was in the very early stages, so she's gotten a couple of shots and will be on antibiotics for the next few weeks.

Only when Barb called, did I realize that I'd blown off a meeting that I'd scheduled and forgot to tell the SM where I'd stash the prop gun (starter pistol and it has to be kept under lock and key). Sigh...

This morning she's cleaning everyone's plate and has only coughed once... It's Tuesday, right?
