Cross your fingers. I'm going in

This morning on the news, they were talking about how the state fair has a 'canned goods for entrance' day - a person could bring three cans/boxes, etc. to the fair and get in free. And I thought, "What a good idea for the theatre."

I've talked with a couple of people who agree. I'm going to approach Dennis to do something similar. People bring in a set number of nonperishables and then will be able to see a dress rehearsal of Matilda. The Topps (long standing members of the theatre) has connections with the St. Mary's Food Kitchen, so I'm sure I could rely upon them for information. James is the director and was heading a ice cream for friends drive this past weekend to benefit a family who had lost everything to a fire. I think he'd be behind it, too.

I think it would be good publicity for the theatre and perhaps get some people in who might not otherwise get to see a production here. Not to mention collecting food for a good cause. Keep good thoughts that Dennis will agree.
