Sales are less than delightful with the show this weekend. It's not horrible and certainly better than next weekend, but still. Dennis has sold a grand total of four tickets for his Bourbon Room event. I have seen zippo advertising, so I'm hoping he knows what he's doing...
We will be at the theatre for the volunteers picnic on Saturday and then I am working for Araceli in the box office before the show. Somehow, I can't work up any enthusiasm to stay until 11 p.m. for the fundraiser party. It was hard enough to do it when it was my gig.
That all said, there hasn't been one ticket sold for the fundraiser next month. No one wants to shell out $50 for it. I'm hoping that they will be doing a massive push soon as the 12th is only a few weeks away. I think the problem is that James wants it to be something that it isn't. You can't have a 'black tie event' and serve spaghetti. People paying that much money want something in exchange for it. It's starting to worry me.
At home, I'm trying to hold back for Halloween and it's getting harder as each day passes. Today, I want to dig out all the quilting squares I made and measure them for fabric. We will have a total of ten new pillows for the living room... at least I think there's ten. I forget now. I am also going to measure my room divider screens for fabric so I can get started on that project. The weather is starting to cool (well, maybe not this weekend) and the thought of quilting is starting to appeal.
I hope everyone is on target for a great weekend. And for the sheer halibut, here are some cat shots.
