Yesterday I got a call from an attorney with good news. Someone left the theatre a sizeable chunk of change. We have to wait 90 days for the family to contest, but if they don't, we might just be getting a new parking lot this spring. That would be so great! Fingers crossed!
And finally, after sweating it all weekend, Barb V called and we made arrangements to meet for lunch on Wednesday. I'm hoping to take the afternoon off as I had to work my lunch hour (waiting for the attorney to show up), so if I piggy back that hour on top of my regular one, that would give me the time I need (the way my schedule is arranged, I only work to three in the afternoon). I suspect it won't be an issue, but we will see.
TBG had a bad night - first he broke a plate (to be fair, it had already broken once before and repaired), but then he miscalculated and broke our water dispenser (one we bought for $10 from Target 10 years ago) and spilled a mess of water on the floor. I mopped everything up while he had a bit of a core meltdown. Then I went outside and collected the cat plates, brought them in and filled them with water in the sink while he started fiddling with a salt mill we have. It's electronic and rarely used, but I noticed that it was out of juice and promptly dropped that into the water. No idea if it still works and that led to another meltdown. I suspect he had a bad day at work and wasn't quite ready to share yet. I'll talk to him today about it.
Hope that Tuesday will treat everyone fairly.
