Quickie Beefy Stroganoff
1 lb. round steak cut into 3/4 “cubes
1 clove garlic minced
2 T. fat
1/2 cup chopped onion*
1 6 oz. can mushrooms (drained with liquid saved)**
1 cup sour cream
1 10 ½ zo can of condensed tomato soup
1 Tb. Worcestershire sauce
6 – 8 drops of Tobasco sauce
Dip meat in flour and brown in fat. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms to beef. Combine sour cream, tomato soup, mushroom liquid and seasonings. Add to meat mixture and simmer until tender, about 1 hour
Serve over rice or pasta.
*I used a whole medium size onion
**I used fresh mushrooms, sliced and added a ½ cup of water to replace the liquid from the canned mushrooms.
