Where does the time go?

It's hard to believe that vacation is half over with and Christmas is firmly in our rearview mirror. Today I got a call from the Britto's, thanking us for their gift and asking if we were still free for New Year's Eve. We usually spend it with them and we were wondering if they were going to say anything. So, we made arrangements for our usual dinner and early night. This is good because we have a dinner party for New Year's Day and a late night wouldn't help that.

We are going to do a slow boil for dinner. TBG has been wanting to do one for a long time. The hardest thing to find was the Old Bay Garlic and Onion seasoning. Happily, we still have enough from the last time. We found the corn on the cob at Safeway, the sausage and chicken at Podesto's and everything else at Trader Joe's. It will be nice to do a low key dinner for a change.

The weather has been sunny and mild here in the day and cold at night, although we do have rain headed our way, just in time for people heading home from their Christmas trip. The weather has had a weird sense of humor.

Gosh, there doesn't seem that much else is happening here. Lots of naps seem to be the order of the day, but I cleaned out one side of the china hutch ad got rid of some glasses. TBG found it hard to let them go, but he did it, reluctantly. The downsizing is hard on him, so I try to do it when he's not around. Right now he's with Jeff seeing the last SW movie, so I should get myself together and take a bag to Goodwill. Like that's going to happen... *yawn*

I hope everyone is relaxing and finding time for a nap today!
