There are some weeks like that

Made it through another week and now we say good bye to January. When I was younger, I hated February. It was a month of Tuesdays. Now, even though we tend to get a lot of fog, I don't mind February too much.

First off, we are dark for the next two months, with the except of two one-night shows (Miss San Joaquin Beauty PPageant and an in-house fundraiser). This used to be the month when I would get all my backlog of crap done, but that doesn't happen much anymore. Now we will start to get ready for our next season. The cast list is up forAugust Osage County and that's in April. Heck, they don't even start rehearsing until March.

Second, parents will start getting anxious about getting their kids into our summer program. This year, we are doing Frozen and eveyone is just a little crazy. What I don't like is that we are limited in how many tickets we can sell. Disney will only let us sell 1600, which sounds like a lot, but our total sales could be 1800. How to handle those extra 200 tickets. Do you block off seats? Do you comp them? No idea how they will handle that.

Third, the last few years, TBG has taken me on a mini-vacation for Valentine's Day and this year, we are heading over to the coast to Ft. Bragg. I haven't been there since the first year we were married. I'm quite excited about it, if not the four hour drive over there. Lots of great restaurants and things to see, so I'm jazzed.

Nothing further on the cat situation and I'm happy about that. The complex has doubled security and the appropriate agencies have been alerted. Hopefully, that will be enough.

Fred's outfit is nearly finished. Well, his outfit has been finished for a while, but his stupid hat has taken me most of the week to do. I just have the trim to put on and it's done. Wow! What a project that was.

We are going over to The Kitchen at Stonebriar for dinner tonight with Barb and Jeff and that's pretty much it for the weekend. I have to work tomorrow for Araceli (she wanted to go to a birthday party for her little niece). Not really happy about it, but it's a bit more cash in my pocket. I'm trying to save up for our June trip now.

So, here we go. Hello, February, be ye friend or for?
