And, again, it's Friday...

So, yesterday, after fighting my ear for the last few months, I got into see the ear specialist. He looked at my right ear and was puzzled that the operation in it hadn’t been more successful, then he turned his attention to my left ear. He poked around in there for a while, then got something that looked like a small suction hose. Which is exactly what it turned out to be. He sucked a mess of stuff out of the ear and then something the size of a pea. It looks like a small beige pea. He was amazed I could hear at all. And, boy, did my hearing improve after that.

He left me with a prescription for eardrops to clear up any lingering infection and I have to go back in two weeks for a hearing test. Still don’t care for the drops, but they aren’t as bad as they once were. And at last I know why the other antibiotics weren’t helping much. Here’s hoping this is the end of it.

We were given mandatory orders to wear masks now anytime we go out. That’s a drag, but I can understand them not wanting the cases to skyrocket. Most of the newest outbreaks have been followed back to the various marches and family reunions after we entered Stage Three. The only exclusion is at restaurants or when you are outside and alone (or with your family group).

That being the case, we are moving ahead with our plans to go up t the foothills over the July 4th weekend. We have confirmed with the hotel and have made reservations at a restaurant on the 4th at Taste and a wine tasting on the 3rd. I’m hoping to get a couple more reservations, but we will see what happens. I’m just glad to have something to look forward to.

Stay well, stay cool and rock on and on and on!
