As promised, some shots from last night

So last night, we had Songs under the Stars, an 'intimate, socially-distanced' evening of song. I was so excited and looking forward to see folks, which I did. Some of these people I hadn't seen since January. I was looking forward to hearing some live music, which I did. I was looking forward to laughing and feeling good about things again... Strike!

Dennis put this together. Dennis loves to play stump the theatre patron and when even Jim THE musical theatre expert in Stockton, doesn't have a clue about the songs... yeah... Plus he loves 'love only makes you feel bad' songs, so he picked some winners (Supper Time (my man's not coming home), Losing my Mind, I'm Not Afraid of Anything, The Tennis Song (two people discussing how they will cheat of their spouses), Stars and Money (Before I had love, but wanted money. Now I've got money, but not love) and so on. the music, rather than being uplifting, was a downer and a half.

The wine was okay, the desserts were really good, my seat was okay (after they turned my mister off). It wasn't a terrible night, just not as happy event I thought it was going to be.

Barb eating up the attention, as always

Jim, retired Artistic Director (he was the thid AD out of six that I have worked with.  If you've ever seen the vidio/DVD of "Sweeney Todd (the original, not the Johnny Depp version), you can see him in the pit.

Our table in the parking lot.  Humble, but still nice.  We ended up with 48 attendees

From the back of the parking lot.
