Okay, so far, so good

Got up and tackled my in box. I fed cats, washed a million cat plates and made a nice breakfast of biscuits and gravy.

Then I got my hair colored (I always wait until after it's just been cut) and a quick shower before we were off the the Farmers Market.

I love the market this time of the year. Everything is coming in, corn, beans, squash, root vegetable, persimmons, and all the Asian goodies. I picked up some heirloom tomatoes to roast for dinner tonight, some beets to roast for salads, zucchini, beans, and some Stockton red onions. No familiar faces, though, and that makes me sad.

Then we were off to Eight Mile Road. There is a large strip mall there and our Bed, Bath, and Beyond is going out of business. Stuff was from 20 - 50% off We picked up a new mattress pad, some pillow protectors, a new chef's knife for TBG, and some votive candles for me. Since the Spirit store was next door, we popped in there. It seems like they have shifted to mostly costumes this year. They had few motion displays on view and their 'odds and ends' were about three shelves. Sigh... it was the first time I walked out of one of those stores empty handed.

Yesterday we decorated cookies for the ofrenda, so I am going to start working upon my Dia de los Muertos display.

The Big Guy's cookies

We l'istened' to his haunted radio while we decorated.  :D

Now, I think a nap is calling my name. It's a lovely Autumn afternoon and we should be putting up lights, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Rock on, everyone!
