Wow, nearly June

How did that happen? Everything seems to be punching up into overdrive as of late.

Yesterday we heard from John and Irene. They will not be coming with us to Sutter Creek this year for the 4th of July. It's sort of sad, but it's also going to be pretty nice to have some quiet time for just ourselves up there. It's been forever since we've gone up there, just to two of us. This means no mega shopping or numerous wine tastings. No waiting until late in the morning for breakfast or eating in places we don't really want to eat. It will be fun. TBG says he'll be happy just to sit and read. I wish this place had a pool, though.

This week we got the frame work for the back privacy fence installed. They installed all of the rear ones and most of the front ones, just Lisa next door and us (of course). We are also still unplanted and the gardener hasn't come by to bury the water system or put down additional bark. Hurry up and wait... the property's owner was touring last night and he didn't look happy.

We have actually been busy doing stuff around the house. We have gotten the carpets downstairs shampooed (That took two days) and have accomplished a few smaller tasks. Now that the temperatures are starting to climb, it's getting harder to be motivated.

And lots of socializing. Last night we swam at Jeff's and had a lovely dinner. Tomorrow night we are out with him and Barb, then Saturday night we are out with John and Irene. Sunday we are thankfully home and then Monday it's a barbecue at Barb's. Everything seems to be in high gear here now. I suspect by the time July 4th rolls around, we will be able to use the rest.

Hope everyone who gets a three-day weekend is happily making plans and to anyone who doesn't, I hope you will have double your fun on Saturday and Sunday.
