The evening started with some Shu Mai from Trader Joe's and Aperol spritzes. Then we moved to the table and started with a three-bean soup and individual baguettes. Following was herb -rusted lamb, Popitoes (baby Yukon gold potatoes, steamed, then smashed and topped with butter and garlic) and fresh asparagus. I served a Sobon red blend, which held up well against the lamb.
TBG pulled out all the stops and made Bananas Foster for dessert. We had that and opened gifts in front of the fire. It was fun, but I am whupped today!
