An update for the halibut.

Nothing ever seems to really happen here, although the days go by at a frightening rate.

Yesterday I visited my GP for a general checkup. When the nurse took my bp, it was 172/97, which is super high for me. Of cousre, they took it over my shirt, but they never seemed to get around to taking it properly. This morning it was 127 over 93. I'm going to take it daily for a month and see what happens. At least I've lost 11 pounds and my leg is doing much better. The PT isn't fun, but it is helping. She sent me away with orders for many tests. Sigh... so much for building my bank account backup after Christmas.

She did say that the feeling in the medical community is that we are starting to see the end of CV and I hope that's true. I don't think it will ever be truly gone, but will be of a sort that will be more easily controlled, like Noro or even a cold. I, for one, am ready to get back to life.

We have been watching the DVD that Barb gave us upon Egyptian history. I find the lecturer confusing and difficult to follow. She seems more interesting in making sure we all know how important she has been to Egyptology without imparting any knowledge to us. I am watching them, but coming away with very little. I would never telling Barb that, though

This morning TBG spent nearly an hour playing Silly Buggers with Ozzie, the dog from next door. He managed to get out of his apartment and didn't want to go back in. Terry and a maintenance guy finally managed to catch up with him. Sure gave the cats something to watch!

That's pretty much all the excitement, which seems a little sad. Next week is totally booked with PT appointments and the blood test. We are going up to the Foothills for a day and then we have a show Friday night (Anastasia) and another one on Sunday (Game Show). This week, however, well, at least today is Robert Burns Day.
