Sorry I wasn't around more yesterday.
I seem to have caught the summer snottage, as they call it in Upstart Crow. Or I thought it was allergies, but now I think it might be a cold. Haven't had one in so longer, I was a bit caught off-guard. Not Covid as I tested, twice, so today I'm off to get my second booster. I've never had any reaction before and am not expecting anything this time. Fingers crossed.
Big News here!!!
Ellie, the little black cat from next door, went in to be fixed (I thought she'd been re-homed, but not yet) and as they got ready to spay her, they discovered she was a he... All the long hair had been concealing a couple little secrets. Hmmm.... now, I can't cast stones as we had a Maine Coon named Jennifer... the vet told us he was a she and so we thought until his testicles came in black on a white backside. Anyhow, Ellie is doing fine. No idea if they will rename him.
Not so big news!!
Sweetie is still carrying a wide load. Sigh... she looks more and more uncomfortable as the days pass.
Fun news
Barb is home, safe and sound. Hopefully she will feel up to having dinner out tomorrow night. It is Jeff's birthday and he is treating us to dinner at Market Tavern.
The Boy, who is coming up on Tuesday, texted that he couldn't be he broke his tooth and that was the only opening at his dentist. So, we rearranged everything, then he called back yesterday and said he'd already been to the dentist and Tuesday was a go. Somehow, this is just like a kid and so appropriate for our farewell dinner. We had decided to do take out from Dave Wong's. He loves the food there and it will be a long time before he get honey chicken the way they make it. Jeff has offered his house, so we will be there. Sadly, it will be too cool to eat out, but maybe apps and a cocktail...
I've started back up on my Duolingo again. How I can forget so much French is beyond me. thankfully, it doesn't judge where you start your refresher course and I don't need to be conversant, I just need to get able to read stuff. Not everything in Tahiti makes it to English (it's the third ranked language there), so it's nice to be able to read signs and menus.
Anyhow, again, my apologies and I'll try to get back to it today... depends upon my energy level...
Rock on, my lovelies, rock on!
