Just checking in
It was one of those weeks that seemingly sped by and yet there seems very little to look back upon.
The car is done and ready to be picked up. it would have been nice if they'd called a bit earlier than ten minutes before they were closing... oh, well. We will have to wait until Monday. The Bronco is getting a good workout, though.
Tried a new breakfast/lunch place (Huckleberry's)this week (for lunch) and was impressed enough to go back again for breakfast. TBG didn't care for their hash, but I liked their Mississippi scramble quite a bit. Really great (cat)fish and chips, too.
Props are done, the tables are set up and we have officially signed off. Now the only thing we will need to do is repair work. Hopefully that won't be a lot. We even had a chance to pull all the unused props and put them away. On Monday, we are going over to paint and dress the set - finally.
Yesterday was the anniversary of Rod's passing. We all went out last night and toasted his memory. I can't believe he's been gone so long. I miss him.
Still no home in sight for little Calcifer and we haven't seen the couple who are adopting Sky and Luna for a week now. I am concerned. Sweetie has vanished, so I'm thinking she's gone into heat and is hanging with the guys. Strangely enough LB2 has been here all day with the kittens.
Lisa leaves tomorrow and I am sorry to see her go. She was a good neighbor.
So, yeah, that's been the week, not much to it, but I guess it could be worse.
Rock on, everyone and stay safe out there!
Updated- Sky and Luna have gone to their new home! I’m happy, but a little sad, too
