Hey, it's me again

I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated. At first there’s nothing happening, so why post and then there’s so much happening that there’s no time to do much of anything much less post. However, I’m determined…

First off, thank you again for all the lovely birthday wishes. I feel very spoiled and well loved. TBG took me and some friends out to dinner to celebrate and another set of friends had a dinner for me last night. Considering how quiet things have been over the last couple of years, I am feeling rushed off my feet. They were all very generous with their gifts and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do with all the Minion fabric Ducky’s Lady sent me… there’s a quilt in there somewhere…

Tonight, we are heading to Jeff’s place for swimming and soup. Honestly, after two late nights (and much partying done), I could do with a night in. However, the soup will get made and I know once the pool and I become one, it will be good. At least it will be an earlier night.

Tomorrow TBG and Jeff head up to Sacramento. Jeff has a doctor’s appointment and TBG wants to hit IKEA and Cost Plus. I’m hoping he will stop at the Nugget for a bottle or two of some Sobon Zin, but we shall see. I have a doctor’s appointment, the one I blew off last week. I don’t know where my head is these days.

Then, thankfully, things get a little quieter. We only have a couple more episodes left of 800 Words and I know they aren’t going to get stuff resolved so quickly. We will have to see what happens – then it’s on to find a new series!

I’ve started working on the Halloween in August challenge prompts. The real challenge has been finding time. Between late morning starts and my Duolingo, it’s been harder than usual. I love my language classes there, but there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. It seems like the week is just starting and suddenly it’s over.

Trips… everything seems to be lining up, although TBG is worried about the Australian one before of the stuff going on with China. I guess we can only do what we can. So much saber rattling these days. Sigh…

Sweetie is about to pop and TBG jokes about getting her a Wide Load sign. Sadly, we have lost Calcifer. I’m not sure if someone picked him up, or the toms made him relocate. We have looked for him for two weeks now with no luck. I miss seeing him, but he was staying away longer and longer just before, so it wasn’t a surprise. We were only seeing him for meals and the occasional nap. Outside life for ferals is not an easy one. At least we got four of the five into good homes. Now, I’m starting to beat the bushes for the next batch and try to get homes lined up beforehand. We’ll just have to see what happens.

Okay, long enough. Hopefully, this makes sense... I'm not so sure. Stay healthy and be careful out there!
