Sorry about not being around much yesterday

October 8th is a tough day for me, but not in the way you would think. You see, today (in different years), I lost my mom, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and a dear friend. All of them died on October 8th. Surely that's some sort of record, but it's not one that I'm looking to add names to.

When I couldn't get ahold of my sister yesterday (following a week of trying), I feared the worse. Thankfully a call to my nephew, who lives across the street from her, soothed my concerns.

Dodged a bullet and didn't add any names this year. Whew!
