Hey, Noah, how long can you tread water?
Just wanted to pop in here and let everyone know that I'm doing fine. We had some high winds last night, but as far as I can tell, everything is fine here. We have a few droopy Bird of Paradise leaves, but that's it. Lucky our complex has relatively young trees. Most of the trees that are coming down are the older oaks and pines. Some parts of Stockton have lost power either earlier this week or even last night, but ours never even flickered.
Also, we got some additional rain last night, but we had a couple sort of dry days, so the water had a chance to either be absorbed or head someplace else. There is no flooding around here, except for the trouble spots that flood when we get a minor storm. Once again, it's Stockton for the win when compared to the damage all around us.
Today and tomorrow are supposed to be relatively rain free, so again, we will have a chance to dry out before the next storm on Saturday and Sunday.
The kittens are doing well and have mastered the art of staying dry. I change out their towels regularly so they have a dry spot for sleeping or just watching the raindrops. The door stoop has stayed dry, so their food is just a few steps away. They have it better than they realize.
Thanks everyone who has PM'd me. You are very kind to worry about me. So far, so good - knock wood!
